Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. He is regarded as one of the best tight ends in history, he is the league's top player in reception yards and receiving yards by a tight end, and is ranked third in overall receptions
A former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez is an regular participant on FOX NFL KICKOFF from the start of the NFL's 2017 season. The hour-long pregame show precedes FOX NFL Sunday that airs every Sunday starting at 11 am ET in the NFL Season.
On March 15th, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign to the Falcons for a 2-year, $14 million contract, despite his claim that he would be retiring following the 2013 season. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012, as did Gonzalez (37 year old) spent last season as an NFL's most prolific receiver.
